What are Cub Scouts?
Cub Scouts are boys and girls aged between 8 and 10.5 years old. We meet on a Thursday, normally at the Scout Hut but occasionally elsewhere. Throughout their time in the section Cub Scouts earn badges for a variety of things including collecting, sports and cooking which they can display proudly on their uniform. We aim to go camping three times a year so the cubs will get a chance to sleep in tents and participate in a number of outdoor and adventurous activities such as fire-lighting, shelter building, pioneering and rock climbing.
Throughout the year we explore different national holidays and celebrations such as Chinese New Year, St. George's Day and Christmas. We don't just follow the holidays though. We also aim to keep Scouting at the basics, and teach knotting, orienteering, and much more, but above all else... life skills!

The highest award that Cub Scouts can earn is the Chief Scout Silver award by completing a number of activities throughout their time here, including teamwork and adventurous activities and learning about the world around us.
A list of all the available badges that can be earned at Cubs can be found here.
